Brilliant Source Energy Provided 100 Percent Clean Energy To Schlage Lock Company

Brilliant Source Energy, based in Berea, Ohio, June 22, 2021– a utility consulting firm (www.BrilliantSourceEnergy.com), has facilitated an agreement with the Ohio-based Schlage Lock Company LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allegion plc, to provide clean energy through a fully integrated renewable energy purchase.

Brilliant Source Energy worked with Allegion to develop a long-term, fixed price retail energy option that supports new, locally-sourced wind and solar. This solution followed a traditional pricing structure, eliminating any potential administrative burdens while providing flat, fixed-energy prices at a savings from their current rate.

“At Brilliant Source Energy, we are committed to providing energy solutions that best fit our customers and their needs. This solution provides options to help our clients meet their sustainability goals, while benefiting their communities,” said Brilliant Source Energy President, Dawn M. Paytosh. “Schlage Lock Company is supporting new, local renewable resources that will be built in their area, creating economic and environmental benefits for southern Ohio. Schlage Lock Company will now receive reliable, emissions-free electricity that powers their operations and reduces their carbon footprint.”

“This project will save enough electricity to power 1,545 American homes,” said Dawn Paytosh, president of Brilliant Source Energy.

Allegion helps keep people safe where they live, work and visit, and is pioneering safety as a provider of security solutions for homes and businesses through 30 global brands. Allegion specializes in security around the doorway and beyond: everything from residential and commercial locks, door closers and exit devices, steel doors and frames, to access control and workforce productivity systems.
